Family Mushroom Foraging - Friday October 9th

Meet me in the woods and learn the basics of mushroom identification!

We'll spend two hands-on hours exploring the forest, looking closely at the mushrooms we find, learning how to observe their characteristics, where they grow, and how to begin identifying them.

This is a relaxed, outdoor learning experience for kids,  and families—no previous mushroom knowledge needed. Come ready to explore, ask questions, get your hands dirty, and discover the fascinating world of fungi growing right here in our woods.

This class is for families. Children of all ages are welcome with at least one parent. The ticket is for your whole family.

We will meet at the designated foraging location. A high clearance vehicle and carpooling are recommended. This is an educational introduction to mushroom identification, not a guarantee of edible mushroom identification.
